process piping

(and related scopes like pressure vessels and mechanical systems). Youll lead the estimating effort from concept through award, build and maintain cost databases, partner with vendors/subcontractors, and develop winning strategies that balance cost, schedule, and risk. Key Responsibilities Estimate Ownership:

Lead quantity takeoffs and cost builds for process piping (shop/field fabrication and installation), valves/instrumentation, supports, insulation/heat tracing, and tie-ins; incorporate related mechanical and structural scopes where required. Proposal Development:

Produce complete technical/commercial proposals, clarifications, and exclusions; assemble bid forms, price books, alternates, and value options for EPC, FEED, and detailed design packages. Scope Definition:

Review P&IDs, isometrics, orthos, GA drawings, datasheets, 3D models, specs, and project execution plans to validate scope, means/methods, risks, and assumptions. Market Pricing & Procurement:

Solicit, level, and negotiate vendor/subcontractor quotes; drive competitive coverage for materials (pipe, fittings, valves), prefabrication, specialty alloys, NDE, scaffolding, and specialty services. Benchmarking & Databases:

Build, calibrate, and maintain historical cost databases, assemblies, and production rates; develop pricing tools/templates and price books for internal and external use. Scheduling & Constructability:

Collaborate on baseline fabrication/installation schedules and staffing curves; provide constructability input and sequence planning to de-risk execution. Risk & Contingency:

Identify commercial and technical risks; recommend contingencies, allowances, and escalation strategies aligned to estimate class (conceptual through definitive). Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Project Controls, Operations, and Business Development to align estimate strategy with client priorities. Handover & Lessons Learned:
