Job Overview As a Lead Principal Data Scientist, you will spearhead data science projects, mentor a talented team, and align data initiatives with our business objectives. This critical role involves developing and implementing innovative data models, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and remaining abreast of the latest industry advancements. You will ensure ethical practices in data use while communicating complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. A key focus will be on pioneering generative AI solutions in healthcare, aiming to transform operations and enhance the member experience. Key Responsibilities Research & Development:

Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI and machine learning to refine existing models and develop new methodologies. AI Model Deployment & Governance:

Implement AI models in production, monitor their performance, and comply with governance and regulatory standards. Innovation Projects:

Lead pilot initiatives to integrate new AI technologies within the organization. Data Analysis:

Analyze complex datasets to extract valuable insights and inform strategic decisions. Machine Learning Model Development:

Design, develop, and train machine learning models using various algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning. Agentic Workflows:

Develop and implement workflows utilizing AI for autonomous task execution, enhancing operational efficiency. RAG Patterns:

Employ retrieval-augmented generation techniques to optimize language model performance. Model Fine-Tuning:

Adapt pre-trained models for specific tasks, ensuring high-level performance. Data Preparation:

Clean and preprocess datasets to guarantee quality inputs for modeling. Collaboration:

Partner with cross-functional teams, integrating AI solutions into existing systems and processes. Documentation:

Maintain thorough documentation of models and methodologies, communicating findings effectively to all stakeholders. Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior data scientists, fostering their development. Business Partnerships: Collaborate with business and technology teams to build models that enhance operational metrics and objectives. Presentation Skills:

Clearly convey complex analytical information to diverse audiences. Adaptability:

Stay flexible to changing business requirements and explore innovative data solutions. Qualifications Required Education: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. Required Skills: 10+ years of experience as a data scientist, preferably in healthcare. Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark). Strong programming skills in Python and R. Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch). Proficient in statistical methods and machine learning algorithms. Familiarity with AI workflows and autonomous operations. Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred Education: PhD or additional relevant experience. Preferred Experience: Experience with cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure AI Studio). Familiarity with NLP and computer vision techniques.
