Cyber Security Engineer with Security Clearance

Role: Sr. Cyber Security Engineer Client: Defense-Aerospace Pay Rate: up to $92/hr (W2, non-benefited) Length: 1-year contract Location: Aurora, CO Clearance: Active and transferable Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is required prior to start date Description: * Review and adjudicate findings from Tenable/Nessus vulnerability scans * Assess system vulnerabilities and verify compliance with applicable STIGs, SRGs, and other security guidelines * Perform Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) work-off * Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities * Assist with Software Assurance evaluations * Provide cybersecurity engineering expertise during system development * Deploy and maintain security patches in alignment with vulnerability management and compliance policies * Administer and secure systems operating on Linux OS platforms Required Skills & Experience: * Experience with Tenable Security Center and Nessus for vulnerability assessments * Demonstrated experience maintaining and deploying security patches * Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and command-line tools * Working knowledge of NIST RMF, including SP 800-37, 800-53, and 800-171 Desired Skills & Experience: * Strong understanding of DoD RMF certification & accreditation processes * Experience using STIG Viewer and performing manual security checks * IAT Level III certification (e.g., CISSP or equivalent) * Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Required Education and Experience: Advanced degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of engineering experience If interested in learning more about this position, please email your resume to and I will call back with more information. clearance Cleared CJbfb3568a-762b-4989-884b-a9682aa104ca
