The Phlebotomy Team Coordinator plays a crucial role on the front lines of laboratory operations. Essential Functions
- Oversee team training, performance assessments, and coaching, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency in specimen collection.
- Utilize your phlebotomy skills to lead teams in performing functions including specimen processing and clinical research studies.
- Act as a liaison between various departments, including ancillary services and nursing staff, and represent the laboratory in collaborative projects aimed at continuous improvement.
- Monitor team compliance with policies and procedures, assist with corrective actions, and participate in the hiring process for new team members.
- Demonstrate resilience in managing stressful situations, de-escalating conflicts with professionalism, while covering shifts and stepping in as a supervisor during absences.

Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of laboratory experience required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Two years of phlebotomy experience, training, or national certification are preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to see and read important information, as well as to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
- Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment and frequent use of computers for documentation.
- Capability of lifting and moving patients and equipment, often navigating busy clinical environments.
- Potential for extended periods of standing and occasional driving responsibilities.
