Hematologist Opportunity – Poughkeepsie, New York (75 Minutes North of NYC) Vassar Brothers Medical Center, located in Poughkeepsie, New York, just 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking an academically-oriented Hematologist (both classical and malignant hematology). This position will focus on treating patients with hematologic malignancies and will also oversee evaluation of treatment of patients with classical hematology conditions, with advanced practitioner support. Our Cancer Institute is growing rapidly as we expand our clinical trial portfolio and position ourselves to be a destination cancer program in this region. The ideal candidate will be board‑certified/eligible in hematology and have post‑fellowship experience and/or hematology‑focused training.

$50,000 sign‑on bonus/retention package plus relocation allowance is available for full‑time candidates.

Vassar Brothers is part of Nuvance Health, which includes 7 hospitals and cancer centers throughout western Connecticut and southeastern New York and diagnoses approximately 4,600 new cancer cases each year.

Vassar Brothers Medical Center provides our hospital system and multi‑specialty practice with tertiary oncology services and is accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. Vassar has many of the key elements of a comprehensive oncology service line in place, including state‑of‑the‑art radiation oncology and surgical specialty services in breast, thoracic, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, genitourinary oncology and hepatobiliary surgery. Nurse navigation, genetic counseling and screening are available onsite. There is ample opportunity to pursue research and clinical trials.
