Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician maintains building integrity and addresses all maintenance?related issues, ensuring repairs and services are completed promptly and to operating and safety standards. The role also includes driver responsibilities, such as safely transporting residents to appointments when needed. Key Responsibilities

Perform routine building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, floor care, pressure washing, appliance repairs, and basic plumbing. Ensure all repairs and service orders are completed promptly, following operating and safety standards. Maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment. Repair vacated rooms promptly and prepare for new resident move?in. Maintain common area walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in good condition. Monitor and manage maintenance supplies and equipment inventory. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work: service logs, equipment maintenance, and inventory tracking. Communicate with the local fire marshal, building inspector, state elevator inspector, and other relevant jurisdictions. Work within the legal scope of local and state codes. Provide safe, reliable, courteous, and efficient transportation services for residents to and from various locations. Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, utilizing the wheelchair lift/stairs, opening/closing doors, and loading/unloading walkers and wheelchairs as needed. Ensure resident safety and satisfaction, accounting for all residents when leaving or returning to the community.

Requirements Candidate Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Professional maintenance certifications are a plus. Valid drivers license. Three years of driving record and a clean driving history.

Experience, Competencies, and Skills

At least two (2) years of prior maintenance or handyman experience in a senior living, multi?apartment, or hotel setting. Well?rounded general maintenance skillset: HVAC, drywall repair and texturing, carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, basic repairs, painting, floor care, and landscaping. Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks efficiently, and manage time and organization. Friendly and professional demeanor with a customer service mindset. Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals, tools, and machinery. One year of experience driving a passenger vehicle.
