Tactical Data Link (TDL) Analyst
This is an exciting opportunity for a Tactical Data Link (TDL) Analyst to join Leidos' National Security Sector at the Langley, VA customer office. The successful candidate will support the ACC/A5JI JINTACCS mission by providing research, engineering, and proposing changes to TDL Military Standards (MIL-STDs) based on USAF tactical combat system information exchange requirements (IERs), while minimizing the impact on existing systems. Primary Responsibilities
Research, engineer, and propose updates to TDL Military Standards (MIL-STDs) based on USAF tactical combat system Information Exchange Requirements (IERs). Develop and evaluate bit-level implementation specifications. Submit change proposals formatted in accordance with JMTCCB Terms of Reference (TOR). Assess interoperability test trouble reports to determine affected systems and criticality of deficiencies. Participate in USAF Technical Analysis Groups and Joint Analysis Review Panels. Create Interface Change Proposals to address findings. Review newly drafted versions of MIL-STDs for incorporation errors and provide corrections for bit-level formats, verbiage, or notations. Develop Technical Information Design Plan-Test Edition (TIDP-TE) documents for new TDL capabilities. Review Information Support Plans (ISPs) posted on the JASM website to verify MIL-STD references are correct. Attend AFSIB, Joint, Bilateral, and Allied TDL meetings and working groups to represent USAF objectives. Analyze change proposals from other entities to evaluate their impact on USAF systems and joint/allied interoperability. Research US and Allied technical documents (including MIL-STDs 3011, 6011, 6016, 6017, 6020, 6090, MADL, NATO STANAGs, ATDLPs, ADatPs, and APPs) to identify discrepancies and draft change proposals. Provide technical TDL expertise and coordinate with USAF requirements and program offices to facilitate TDL integration into platforms and systems. Assist in the review and development of operational concepts and architectures utilizing existing and emerging TDL capabilities. Research and gather information to develop Background Papers, staff studies, Talking Papers, and presentation materials. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 4 or more years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree and 2 or more years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. The ability to read, comprehend, and extract relevant information from highly detailed and complex technical documents. Experience in the following USAF disciplines: a rated Fighter pilot, EWO, or WSO. Current or Active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance. Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in the Air Force Joint Integrated Tactical Air Control System (JINTACCS). Experience drafting and submitting TDL MIL-STD interface change proposals. Experience participating in JMTCCB, JMSWG, or AFSIB meetings.
