About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Financial Reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and review of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant standards. This role involves coordinating the preparation of statutory financial reports for regulatory filing, analyzing financial results to identify trends and discrepancies, and ensuring the accuracy of reinsurance transactions and reporting related to life reinsurance contracts. The AVP will also lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, prepare internal management reports, and provide financial insights to senior leadership.
Applicants must have a Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a preference for professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or similar. A minimum of 5 years' experience in financial reporting or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, is required, preferably within the reinsurance or insurance industry. The role demands a strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements, as well as excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools is essential, and experience with life reinsurance contracts and transactions is a plus.
