Overview
JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a skilled Systems Vulnerability Management Analyst to join the IT Infrastructure team supporting Windows, Linux, and VMware environments. This role will focus on remediating vulnerabilities, modernizing legacy systems, and driving progress against a significant backlog of technical debt. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Windows and Linux administration, Active Directory, and scripting with PowerShell/Bash, with the ability to work in a fast-moving, enterprise environment. Responsibilities Support remediation of system vulnerabilities identified by cybersecurity, including planning and execution of fixes. Manage and maintain Windows OS environments (20082025) and Linux systems (Libuntu/Ubuntu). Oversee upgrades, patching, and replacement of end-of-life operating systems. Work within the VMware environment and support related infrastructure tasks. Administer Microsoft Active Directory, group policies, and related configurations. Tackle a significant backlog of vulnerabilities (hundreds) with the goal of reducing them into the tens by year-end. Collaborate with Agile/PM teams to ensure consistent progress on infrastructure initiatives. Provide progress updates to demonstrate milestones achieved throughout the year. Assist departmental teams as needed while also serving as a driver for key infrastructure improvements.
Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise systems administration (Windows/Linux). Strong knowledge of Windows OS (2008 and later) and Linux (Ubuntu/Libuntu) environments. Proficiency with VMware administration. Expertise in Active Directory and Group Policy management. PowerShell scripting experience (preferred tool for automation). Experience working with legacy systems, policy work, and technical debt remediation. Ability to prioritize and execute multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously. Familiarity with cybersecurity-driven vulnerability management. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Industry-specific experience not required; general enterprise Linux/Windows administration background is sufficient.
