hands-on Machine Learning and AI Developer

to join a pioneering team driving the adoption of artificial intelligence and automation within the legal sector. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of law, data science, and software engineering, building intelligent systems that enhance decision-making, streamline document analysis, and transform how professional services are delivered. This position is ideal for a developer who enjoys delivering end-to-end AI solutions, from model design and training to deployment and integration, and who wants to see their work make a direct, measurable impact. Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy

machine learning and NLP models

for document analytics, entity extraction, and summarisation. Fine-tune and evaluate

large language models (LLMs)

such as GPT, Claude, Llama, and Mistral using

prompt engineering ,

RAG architectures , and

vector databases . Develop

AI microservices

and APIs in

Python

(FastAPI, Flask) for use within internal platforms and client-facing tools. Leverage frameworks such as

LangChain ,

LlamaIndex , and

Hugging Face Transformers

to build retrieval and reasoning systems. Create and manage

data pipelines

using

Airflow ,

Kafka ,

Databricks , or

AWS Glue . Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including legal professionals, data scientists, and software engineers to translate domain challenges into technical solutions. Evaluate, monitor, and optimise models for

accuracy, interpretability, and performance . Stay current with emerging developments in

agentic AI ,

multimodal systems , and

AI governance . Technology Environment

Languages:

Python, TypeScript, SQL Frameworks & Libraries:

PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers, LangChain, Hugging Face, FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes Cloud & Data:

AWS (S3, SageMaker, Lambda), Azure OpenAI, Databricks, PostgreSQL, Redis MLOps:

MLflow, Weights & Biases, DVC, Prefect Infrastructure:

GitHub Actions, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines LLMs:

GPT-4, Claude 3, Llama 3, Mistral, Gemini Candidate Profile

Strong background in

Python software engineering

and

machine learning system design . Proven track record of developing and deploying

production-grade ML and NLP models . Excellent understanding of

transformers ,

embeddings , and

retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) . Practical experience with

LLM fine-tuning ,

evaluation , or

multi-agent frameworks . Familiarity with

cloud-native deployment

(AWS or Azure) and modern

DevOps

workflows. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Advantageous: experience in

legal tech ,

financial services , or
