Millwright will be responsible for keeping all equipment and machinery in the plant functioning, troubleshooting problems as they arise, and implementing preventative maintenance. This includes identifying parts and critical spares for the plant and maintaining all equipment in a safe working condition. The Machine Repairmen will collaborate with department supervisors to ensure equipment is running and PMs are current to meet production requirements. Essential Functions
Troubleshooting of mechanical systems in a timely manner to minimize downtime of equipment. Proficient in multiple welding methods, including GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW. Proficient in welding materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and copper. Operate various shop equipment, including grinders, saws, brake, iron worker, and torches. Rigging and machine moving using cranes, tow motors, jacks, dollies, and other methods. Assist in other plant maintenance work as required by supervisor, Facilities Manager, and/or Facility Engineers. Maintain housekeeping, organization, and 6S in the immediate work area, maintenance shop, and toolbox/locker. Safely handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Data Sheet (MSD) and company policy. Responsible for daily maintenance, repairs, and PMs of production process equipment plant-wide. Maintain a high standard of 6S and housekeeping in the department at all times. Operate maintenance equipment including fork trucks, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts. Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and policies at all times. Perform preventative maintenance on all process equipment throughout the facility. Other duties as assigned. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to changing situations. Able to work flexible hours with a dependable attendance record. Motivated self-starter with strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work environment with a customer focus to support Operations and Safety. Desired Skills
Highly organized, self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight project timelines. Proven ability to work hands-on with the team to achieve optimal equipment performance. Experience in Manufacturing Industry with maintenance/facilities departments. Experience & Education
Prefer 5+ years of experience in a maintenance or millwright position. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. Previous experience as a maintenance technician or skilled craft is desired.
