Job Summary:
The Quality Compliance Supervisor will drive and lead implementation and the sustainability of the compliance process with minimal oversight. Responsible for facility audits, compliance to SQF, and partnering with Commercialization to ensure customer and Makers Pride requirements are met.
With Quality, Engineering, and Operations, define, implement and operate a comprehensive process to: • Assure new product quality, specifications and regulations are met • Assess new equipment/process designs to assure that product quality, sanitary design, food safety and compliance requirements are met • Assure compliance to customer and agency requirements
Job Duties:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: • Ensure preparation of all audit material and information • Perform & maintain risk assessments for new materials coming into the factory • Manage compliance related CAPA (Corrective Action Preventive Action) closure • Manage commercialization projects from a quality perspective to assure specifications are met • Advise commercialization and production teams on process specifications, process capabilities, and customer requirements to include recipe and sensory • Oversee Document & Record Control programs • Support Quality Manager and commercialization teams in integrating customer and compliance requirements into internal specifications • May serve as primary Quality liaison on test, proof of concept, and initial production runs • May serve as primary resource to track action items developed via test runs through closure • Coordinate QA and Production training related to new product/process introductions • Support Quality Assurance department as necessary, in other areas • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Competencies & Knowledge:
Knowledge of: • Knowledge and experience with SAP preferred • ASQ and/or SQF certification a plus
Skill in: • Maintain harmonious relations with employees from all departments. • Maintain harmonious relations with management from all levels.
Ability to: • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing • Successfully multi-task. • Ensure collaborative relationships with industry, trade, other associations, & regulatory agencies • Lead 'best in class' behaviors with focus on safety, quality, and policy focus. • Must be accurate and detail-oriented • Ability to work with minimal supervision and at times independently
Proficiency in : • MS Office Suite, SAP a Plus
Work Environment: • Ability to work in a light to high noise environment • Handle daily employee issues • Travel up to 10% is possible
Physical Requirements: • Reaching with hands and arms throughout shift • Ability to use hands and fingers • Ability to see, hear and talk • Employee frequently required to sit • Occasionally required to walk, climb and/or balance • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs • Walk up to 400 yards to work and break areas
Minimum Qualifications: • Four-year college degree preferred or equivalent work experience. • SQF or ISO certification a plus. • One (1) to three (3) years' experience in product compliance and/or commercialization in the food industry, product development or similar discipline, in a related environment • Familiar with state and federal food processing regulations • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The pay range for this full-time, salaried position is $58,962 to $88,444/year. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
