Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Loss Mitigation Specialist to join their client's team in San Diego, California. This role requires an individual who can efficiently manage loss mitigation files and assist with foreclosure processes while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
Work with the Loss Mitigation Team to create and process loss mitigation files, including ordering BPO, AVM, property profiles, credit reports, and appraisals when required. Utilize skip tracing tools to drive borrower contact and make contact with homeowners to obtain required loan documentation. Prepare incoming hardship files for loss mitigation underwriting and assist in designing customized loss mitigation recommendations. Collaborate with attorneys, foreclosure vendors, real estate agents, escrow, and other lenders to handle fees/costs, timelines, and guidelines appropriately and timely. Answer inbound calls on both bankruptcy and loss mitigation files and assist with outbound collection call efforts. Provide instruction to foreclosure trustees or attorneys regarding foreclosure sales and assist in producing department reports and metrics. Process and mail various letters including short sale letters, repayment plans, and solicitation letters. Initiate and monitor PMI claims and assist in controlling company and investor exposure related to foreclosure and property disposition. Assist in all required reporting to Treasury, Fannie Mae, and PMI vendors and report delinquent loans to various PMI vendors. Assist in updating and establishing department policies and procedures. Requirements High School Diploma required Minimum of 1 year experience in the areas of Telephone Contact, Collections, Loan Servicing or Mortgage Loan Processing. Microsoft Office Suite (including advanced skills in Excel and Access), Internet, Software Systems: Symitar, and Akuvo
Required Work Hours
Monday to Friday Schedule: 8 AM-4:30 PM or 9 AM-5:30 PM
