Information System Security Manager with Security Clearance

Position Overview SDA Solutions is seeking an experienced Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to provide leadership, oversight, and technical guidance for cybersecurity, RMF implementation, and information assurance activities across DoD systems. This position is fully remote and requires strong expertise in Risk Management Framework (RMF), system authorization, and federal information security standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage RMF process implementation for assigned systems. Provide security planning, consultation, and documentation support to project managers. Coordinate with Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) to ensure compliance with DoD and federal requirements. Maintain security authorization documentation and system security records. Conduct and oversee security tests, self-assessments, and continuous monitoring activities. Manage POA&M tracking, internal reviews, and audit documentation. Support approval and oversight of external and interconnected systems. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and 10–12 years of related experience (Master’s: 8–10; PhD: 5–7). Strong understanding of Federal information security and privacy regulations (NIST, FISMA, DoD 8510.01). Experience supporting DoD or federal cybersecurity programs. Active U.S. Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one. IAM Level I certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC) – Security+ minimum required for system access. Preferred Skills Excellent knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 controls and security assessment methodologies. Experience with enterprise-level privacy and security program management. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with leadership and technical teams. Job Type: Full-time
