Welcome Group, Inc . is seeking a

Corporate Director of Commercial Strategy

to lead revenue

optimization , sales,

distribution,

marketing, and brand positioning across our growing hospitality platform. Welcome Group currently owns and operates

12 hotel properties , with plans to expand through

third-party management agreements

in addition to continued ownership. This position will work closely with

Eight Form , our asset management and development arm, including

Zach Demuth, Head of Strategic Growth & Asset Management , to strengthen commercial performance at the current portfolio while also preparing scalable strategies for third-party managed hotels. This is a

remote-first role , with the option to sit in

Santa Monica, CA

(corporate headquarters) or in

San Diego, CA

(via Eight Form's Industrious office membership, which also provides access to workspaces nationwide). Regular

travel to hotel properties

is expected. Reporting directly to the

President of Welcome Group , the Director will oversee the corporate commercial team and provide leadership to on-property sales, marketing, and revenue management teams. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in hospitality commercial leadership, with expertise in sales, marketing, revenue management, and brand development. They combine data-driven decision-making with strong leadership skills and the ability to create dynamic teams, strategic partnerships, and scalable playbooks that maximize profitability and expand market reach.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement commercial strategies that maximize topline revenue

and optimize profitability

across Welcome Group's

existing portfolio of 12 hotels . Partner with ownership and

Zach Demuth, Head of Strategic Growth & Asset Management at Eight Form , to create scalable commercial playbooks that will extend to third-party managed properties. Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop sales, revenue, and marketing leaders across the portfolio. Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and high performance. Set clear performance metrics

that extend beyond traditional RevPAR models

including

GOPPAR,

direct booking share, and

total revenue

market share growth. Sales & Marketing Oversight

Oversee enterprise-level sales and marketing efforts, including

transient,

group, corporate, and

contract

segments. Guide brand positioning, digital marketing, promotional campaigns, and advertising spend. Ensure brand consistency in all internal and external communications, including third-party and corporate materials. Revenue Management

Direct the revenue management team in implementing strategies that optimize pricing, segmentation, and channel mix,

with an eye towards maximizing profitability. Drive measurable gains in

TRevPAR

index and ensure balanced contribution from OTAs, GDS, and direct channels. Establish scalable revenue management processes to support future third-party hotels. Market Analysis & Business Development

Conduct market research to identify trends, demand drivers, and competitive positioning. Identify priority sources of business and establish strategies to capture and convert high-value accounts. Support due diligence and underwriting for third-party management opportunities. Customer Experience

Collaborate with operations teams to ensure sales, revenue, and marketing strategies support an exceptional guest experience and brand promise. Data, Technology & Reporting

Champion adoption of

AI, predictive analytics, and BI tools

to enhance forecasting, segmentation, and marketing effectiveness. Oversee CRM systems and dashboards to ensure commercial performance is measurable and transparent. Provide regular reporting to ownership, lenders, and executive leadership on sales, marketing, and revenue performance. Travel

Conduct regular site visits to properties to review commercial performance, support property-level teams, and ensure alignment with corporate strategy. Represent Welcome Group at key

industry tradeshows

and events

to help drive performance at existing properties and engage with prospective partners for future growth. Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business, or related field required; MBA or advanced certification in Revenue Management or Digital Marketing preferred. Experience : Minimum of 10 years in commercial strategy, sales, revenue, or marketing leadership roles within the hospitality industry, with at least 5 years in a senior multi-property role. Commercial Expertise : Strong knowledge of revenue management systems (RMS), distribution platforms, and digital marketing strategies. Leadership : Proven ability to lead sales, revenue, and marketing teams across multiple properties. Technology : Familiarity with CRM, digital marketing platforms, BI tools, and AI-driven forecasting or marketing solutions. Strategic Acumen : Track record of improving RevPAR index, direct booking share, and market share. Communication : Strong presentation skills with ability to distill strategy and results for ownership and stakeholders. Salary range:
