Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dependable
Class B Welder
to join a skilled fabrication team in
Tulsa, OK . The
Class B Welder
will weld on waste heat recovery equipment designed and built to
ASME Code , including waste heat and process gas boilers, steam drums, economizers, superheaters, and pressure vessels. This position requires advanced welding skills across multiple processes, materials, and positions, as well as a strong commitment to precision, safety, and code compliance.
Weld Tests Required •
6" Schedule 80 6G GTAW (TIG) Stringer / Hot Pass , SMAW (Stick) Fill and Cap. •
3G FCAW (Flux Core)
on ½" Plate.
Key Responsibilities • Perform
Flux Core (FCAW) ,
Stick (SMAW) , and
TIG (GTAW)
welding processes on pressure vessels and related components. •
Weld in all positions
- flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead. •
Read and interpret blueprints and welding procedure specifications (WPS)
to ensure all work meets ASME Code and client requirements. • Work with a variety of materials including
carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome, and nickel alloys . •
Pass X-ray and other non-destructive testing (NDT)
inspections. • Utilize
carbon arc gouging and cutting torch
for weld prep and repair. • Maintain
weld quality, accuracy, and safety standards
in a manufacturing environment. •
Collaborate with supervisors and other welders
to meet project timelines and productivity goals. • Perform
additional shop labor tasks
as needed to support fabrication and assembly operations.
Qualifications • Minimum
5 years of welding experience
in a
manufacturing or fabrication setting . • Proficient in
ASME Code welding
and pressure vessel fabrication. • Strong knowledge of
FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW
welding techniques. • Must demonstrate
proficiency in blueprint reading and layout . • Ability to
work safely, efficiently, and independently
in a high-production environment. •
Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
experience is a plus.
