805005 - Director of Human Resources
What you will have an opportunity to do: What a GREAT opportunity! We are looking for a strong, people-focused, dynamic HR Leader as the Human Resources Director at one of Santa Cruz's most unique properties. Memories are made here! The Human Resources Director (HRD) is responsible for ensuring the efficient administration and management of all human resources/people operations functions. The Human Resources Director serves on the Executive Committee and must be highly visible to employees throughout the resort. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): • Positive Culture Builder within our People-First organization. • Recruiting • Hiring • Training • Employee recognition and retention champion. We love to celebrate successes!!! • Impactful leader in employee relations matters • Strong mentor to HR coordinator and property teams • Wage & benefit administration • Worker's compensation management • Compliance with statuary requirements and all California's state laws • Budgeting and the coordination of related activities in order to provide each department with the personnel, guidance, and support necessary to achieve their customer service and business objectives • Making sure employees are developed and utilized to their maximum potential by controlling the implementation, administration, and monitoring of all training programs • Making sure the hotel's HR function complies with all state and federal laws as well as regulations and court rulings which pertain to Human Resources by reviewing current management practices, implementing new procedures and communicating any new requirements • Maintaining all hotel personnel records and Human Resource files, ensuring confidentiality
What are we looking for? The ideal Human Resources Director (HRD) candidate will bring the following required, desired and optional assets to the company: • Bachelors Degree or equivalent education/experience required • 5 years Human Resources Director or above experience required • Thorough knowledge of California & Federal laws pertaining to HR • Resort, hotel or hospitality experience preferred • Excellent written & verbal communication • Strong analytical, problem solving & organization skills • Ability to multitask in a demanding environment • Microsoft Office skills required • Workday knowledge preferred #KeyExec
