Microelectronics Assembler
to support ongoing operations for a leading aerospace and defense contractor in
Chelmsford, MA . This is a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail and a desire to grow in a hands-on, high-tech production environment.
Job Details:
Location : Chelmsford, MA Shift : Day Shift - Tuesday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Pay : $22.00 - $24.00/hour, depending on experience Overtime : May be available based on production needs Job Responsibilities:
Assemble and inspect electronic components, subassemblies, and finished units following detailed work instructions and engineering drawings Use microscopes and precision measuring tools to meet strict quality requirements Operate various hand and pneumatic tools, including tweezers, torque drivers, and cutters Interpret technical documentation to accurately perform assembly operations Perform visual inspections with and without magnification Maintain detailed and accurate production records and data entry Collaborate with team members to support throughput goals and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic computer literacy for timekeeping and task tracking Familiarity with ESD procedures and basic electronics handling Must be reliable, punctual, and eager to learn new skills Must be comfortable working with small components using magnification tools Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in electronics or microelectronics manufacturing Knowledge of IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 (certification not required but a plus) Previous work in an aerospace or defense-related environment
