Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
The Material Handler will perform a variety of tasks related to the manufacturing and assembly of car wash components. This role includes two positions available within the team for a project expected to last 1-2 months, with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities
Packaging parts from roll-off and labeling packages accurately for ground versus express shipping.
Pull parts for packing by hand and potentially use a forklift.
Use an RF Scanner to track shipments within the facility.
Build crates to be used in shipping parts.
Pull parts for the pack line and work in the warehouse to prepare items for packaging and labeling.
Utilize carts and forklifts for larger parts.
Move inventory and materials across facilities and process inventory for delivery.
Pick, pack, and ship products, ensuring items are sorted, organized, and stored correctly.
Scan delivered items to ensure quality, report damaged or missing inventory.
Stack and organize bulk items and manage inventory from trucks to proper locations.
Update logs and documentation for inventory processing.
Operate heavy machinery like forklifts and ensure workspace safety.
Prepare documentation and inventory for audits.
Essential Skills
6+ months of inventory experience with RF scanning.
6+ months of warehouse experience.
6+ months of forklift experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with warehouse forklifts, picking, shipping & receiving, and general labor.
Proficiency in assembly, carpentry, inventory management, and packing.
Comfortable lifting up to 25-50 lbs and standing or walking 90% of the time.
Ability to use a scanner for data entry transactions.
Experience helping assemble warehouse racking.

Work Environment
This position is based in a large facility divided into manufacturing, shipping/receiving, assembly, and testing areas for car washes. Work may occur in different areas, including the main building and a nearby location. A casual dress code is observed, with appropriate jeans and t-shirts, along with required safety gear including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection. The role initially is a contract position expected to last through January, with potential for extension based on business needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grimes, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.50/hr.
