The

Supply Planner Specialist -

is responsible for generating and managing three-month rolling schedules for 3 silicone coaters and five rewinders at our Rhinelander Plant that accurately represent the monthly forecast, aligns orders with machine capabilities and maximizes efficiencies to consistently meets customer promise dates. The Supply Planner regularly interacts with procurement and manufacturing personnel to ensure raw materials are available to meet schedule plans. This position utilizes Preactor Scheduling System, JD Edwards ERP and Stratum Reporting on a daily basis to perform responsibilities.

The Supply Planner Specialist - responsibilities include the following: Follow Ahlstrom's manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable to the position's areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper Generate three-month rolling schedules in Preactor for our three coaters and five rewinders that accurately represent the sales forecast generated each month, fully utilize Preactor MRP capabilities to ensure base paper availability and provide accurate customer ready dates, optimize coater sequence/cost efficiency, incorporate outage planning, and provide predictable run dates for our external customers Maintain the monthly supply plan process to consistently reflect the Preactor schedule, to provide accurate visibility to capacity availability and assist with managing customer volumes. Review, update and manage detailed daily Preactor production schedules to maximize trim, grade sequence and applicator roll changes to maximize efficiency and maintain excellent service to our customers. Act as a liaison between manufacturing and sales/marketing by providing a clear line of communication which ensures the needs of each group are presented and negotiated to resolution. Interact with raw material procurement/manufacturing personnel to ensure materials are available for scheduled manufacture plans. Assist in managing and maintaining proper inventory levels of Raw and Finished Goods, in addition to Coated Products Finished Good Stock / Consignment programs to minimize aging inventory. Identify and participate in opportunities to improve processes and tools within supply chain and the business. WORK EXPERIENCE • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis • Knowledgeable in business management and supply chain management • Scheduling, planning or other related supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment required • Solid understanding of forecasting, scheduling, inventory and general business management • Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate across business functions • JD Edwards ERP system, Preactor or other advanced planning system experience preferred. • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint • APCICS certification preferre d

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree in Operations Mgmt or similar field required (comparable level of experience will be considered)

Ability to work additional hours during the week, on weekends, or outside of regular office hours may be required. The ability to work in a normal office environment to include: sitting or standing for long periods of time, operating various standard office equipment, carrying paper documents/files, reaching and bending, speaking on the telephone, safely walking through our manufacturing plant, and wearing required personal protection gear (i.e. hearing and foot protection).
