Devens School Clinician

DEFINITION:

The Devens School Clinician shall be the employee member of the Devens staff designated by the Devens Principal and Director of Social Emotional Learning to provide counseling services, social emotional learning, and clinical case management for students enrolled in the Devens School Kindergarten through Grade 12 Public Day Special Education School within the Everett Public Schools.

GOAL:

The Devens School Clinician will assist the school administration team in implementing tiered interventions for students and evaluating clinical trends/outcomes throughout the building. Our goal is to provide individual, small group, classroom, and school wide social emotional learning opportunities to the students enrolled at the Devens School. Using evidence-based approaches and collaboration with teachers, we aim to support students' social-emotional well-being with the intent of improving their access to learning.

PREREQUISITE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum: A Master's degree in Social Work Minimum: Massachusetts Educator Licensure as School Social Worker/Adjustment Counselor - All Levels Preferred: LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, Psych D Preferred: Experience delivering services under the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) Model, ability to train counselors in the areas of CBT & DBT SALARY:

In accordance with Everett Teachers Association Collective Bargaining Agreement, Unit A. SY 25-26 - Pay Range - $63,280-$121,994.

DUTIES:

Implement a comprehensive program of school counseling services Coordinate counseling services for students, who might be experiencing difficulty with crisis management and academic achievement Assist building leadership and special education team in reviewing referrals Support identified students for accessing accommodations for post-secondary testing needs Collect and analyze data to drive/modify policy and procedures; including mental health screening, targeted intervention, share with appropriate staff Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure alignment in care coordination and clear communication Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by the Director of Social Emotional Learning or Devens School Principal.
