We are currently looking for a Part Time 38 Cage Cashier to join our SaltCreek Casino team working 3rd shift.
Summary: Cashes tickets and chips presented by patrons while maintaining a balanced bank; provides service to our internal and external guests.
Responsibilities: * Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types - Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner - Greets and engages with a smile - Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes * Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities * Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types - Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment - Maintains and promotes professionalism - Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics - Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards * Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc. * Maintains files, logs, and records * Cashes out patrons and give correct change * Counts and records the exchange of assigned funds at the beginning and throughout the shift with a goal of enforcing accurate exchanges * Balances all funds at the completion of each shift in partnership with a supervisor or manager * Performs all other duties as assigned
Competencies: Essential: * Able to follow instructions, both written and oral * Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements * Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability * Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines * Knowledge of all casino promotions through communication with leadership and using internal resources such as newsletters, TV and promotions cards * Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management
Skills: Essential: * Must be able to operate a computer and/or other equipment related to specific role (i.e. automated currency counters, calculator, projector, binding machine, other related office equipment)
Experience:
Nonessential: * 1 year directly related experience
Education: Essential: * High School, GED or Equivalent
Credentials: Essential: * Pass gaming background check * Gaming license or permit as required by assigned position
Working Conditions: Essential: * May work where cigarette smoking occurs * Bright and Flashing lights * Fast-paced environment * Noisy * Communications written, verbal * Interacts with clinical, support, technical, professional or management staff in a variety of settings and situations * Pass pre-employment drug test * Hand-eye coordination, reach and grasp * Manual dexterity * Listening and hearing ability * Push/pull heavy carts or equipment of one or more types * Repetitive motions * Visual acuity for detail, distance, color, depth perception * Must be flexible with work schedule * May work holidays * May work night shift * May work weekend shift
