About the Role: This position is for a

responsible for operating furnaces and related equipment to perform heat treatment processes on metal components. The role involves setting and monitoring temperature controls, loading and unloading parts, performing inspections, and ensuring product quality and consistency. This is a

full-time, on-site position

with hours from

6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. , offering a

temp-to-perm

opportunity. The maximum hourly rate for this role is

$23 per hour , based on experience and expertise.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate heat treatment furnaces, tempering ovens, and related machinery. Monitor and regulate temperature, timing, and furnace cycles to ensure proper metallurgical results. Load and unload parts into furnaces, quenching tanks, and other processing equipment. Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and hardness testers. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for heat treating, quenching, and tempering metal components. Record operational data and maintain accurate production and quality documentation. Troubleshoot basic equipment alarms and resolve minor operational issues. Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and ISO quality standards. Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to meet daily production goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a metalworking or heat treatment environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and engineering specifications. Familiarity with heat treat equipment such as wash units, batch furnaces, temper ovens, and hardness testers. Basic math and measurement skills, including the use of gauges, micrometers, and comparators. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (Syteline preferred). Desired Qualifications:

Experience working with PLC- or CNC-controlled machinery. Previous stamping or machining experience. Understanding of ISO and quality assurance processes. Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and production needs. Compensation and Schedule:

Hourly rate up to

$23/hour , depending on experience. Full-time schedule:

6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. , Monday through Friday. On-site

position with a

temp-to-perm

opportunity for long-term employment.
