Job Description 1.General job duties. Types of procedures required. Will be working in a level one trauma center and floating to 2 other facilities for day of staffing needs. Traveler will have schedule and then receive a text 2 hours prior to the beginning of her shift. Will be working with general ED patients, stoke experience, cardiac, sedation etc.
2.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) EPIC, Alaris Smart Pumps, Phillips Monitors
3.Required skills and minimum years of experience. Med Surg RN with 2 years' experience 1 in skill. Level 1 trauma experience.
4.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) BLS, ACLS
5.Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) 7a-7:30p (days) or 7p-7:30a (nights) normally on a cyclical schedule. Travelers are expected to cover the call offs from the facilities, so must be flexible with weekends and holidays
6.Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) Will be floating to 2 other facilities in a close radius to SFMC. Will be alerted to where they will be floating 2 hours prior via text page on cell phone. Will float to other medsurg floors within our larger facilities. May work on step down floors with med surg patients.
7.Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. Varies per facility they will be floating to
8.Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)

9.Dress Code: regular scrubs. Plain tennis shoes. No crocs.
10.Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. First day orientation with OSF orientation done online through HealthStream. Orientation and orientation shifts at SFMC. Then orientation with a preceptor 4 hours at other facilities they will be floating to.
