Lutron is seeking a detail-oriented and driven
Trade Compliance Specialist
to join our Trade Compliance team at Lutron's Annex office location in Center Valley, PA. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our global operations by ensuring adherence to international import and export regulations.
As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you'll collaborate with a wide range of internal and external partners-including Lutron's shipping and logistics teams, engineering, customer service, freight forwarders, and customs brokers-to navigate complex trade requirements and ensure smooth, compliant international shipments.
Responsibilities
Assign Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes based on customs regulations and product data. Resolve trade compliance issues to support shipment clearance, including part classification, part number creation, and system updates. Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure accurate import/export documentation and process compliance. Review and process commercial invoices using internal tools to support timely and accurate import declarations. Create and manage Schedule B export numbers by cross-referencing HTS codes. Track and report daily and monthly trade compliance metrics. Complete Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualifications and share documentation with customs brokers. Support testing and analysis of global classification and FTA tools; escalate issues as needed. Train team members on import/export compliance procedures and best practices. Qualifications
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, High School diploma required Minimum 3 years of experience in import/export regulations, HTS classification codes, or comparable field preferred Preferred Certifications: Custom Certified Specialist, Certified Export Specialist, or Licensed Customs Broker Must live within commutable distance of Center Valley PA to accommodate in-office schedule
