Harvard Resource Solutions is hiring a Temporary Parts and Shipping Technician to work for a manufacturing company in Midland, MI. You will retrieve, package, and prepare outgoing items for shipping. In addition, you will support receiving products into the warehouse by verifying the quality and accuracy against packing slips. POSITION TYPE: Full Time. Onsite (Warehouse). Contract position expected to last through the end of 2025. CRITICAL NEED! PAY: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour based on skills and experience. Requirements of the Parts & Shipping Technician: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years’ experience in shipping or receiving required. Manufacturing environment preferred. Sharp attention to detail and accuracy. Good problem-solving and data analysis skills. Self-starter, strong work ethics with the ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment. Strong organization and facilitation. Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities efficiently. Able to interview and start quickly. Must own steel toe shoes or boots. Able to lift and move 50 lbs. Duties of the Parts & Shipping Technician: Picking and staging parts for orders in accordance with production schedules and departmental needs. Organizing inventory in designated locations, performing routine cycle counts, and maintaining a clean and orderly storage environment to support optimal workflow. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Production, Quality, and Testing—to support inventory accuracy and ensure timely availability of components required for manufacturing and service. Package finished goods securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit. Label all outgoing shipments accurately, including shipping addresses, barcodes, and required documentation. Prepare and stage orders for carrier pickup, ensuring all shipments are accurately packaged, labeled, and ready for timely dispatch via UPS, FedEx, or freight services. Verify that outgoing shipments match customer orders and meet established quality standards. Monitor packaging supply levels and notify management when inventory is low. Unload and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders. Report any damaged or missing items and work with QA and procurement to resolve issues. Notify appropriate departments of received materials in a timely manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free packing and receiving area. Assist with inventory tasks, including cycle counts and audits, to ensure accuracy. Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts—if certified) safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory movements. Update the parts shortage list after picks. Communicate with production and purchasing teams to resolve any shipping, receiving, or order-picking issues. Assist with processing bulk items when received. Participation in ISO9001 Audits, as necessary.
