About this role:
The Commercial Lending Sales Assistant is responsible to assist relationship managers with commercial lending activities from origination to closing and through the life of the loan facility. This job function is required to handle and facilitate all commercial loan applications, underwriting, approvals by assisting the relationship manager through performing the below responsibilities.
In this role you will:
Support the Bank's "People first" focus and rules of engagement-maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB "A Better Place to Be". Review Relationship Manager (RM) issued term sheet and create opportunity stage in nCino. Track and confirm Bank receipt of GFD and order 3rd party reports as needed. Aggregate application docs and upload to an RM P-drive deal folder. Track timing of appraisal and environmental reports to ensure received in timely manner. Upload all 3rd party reports, corporate paperwork and any other vital documents to nCino. Review all commercial loan approvals to determine who the relationship manager is, attorney assigned to loan and which loan closing personnel is assigned to said loans. Assist loan closer in review of commitment letters. Provide support to the RM/loan closer to ensure new and ongoing credit facilities are documented and closed according to the approval document including collateral requirements. Assist and act as liaison with Loan Closer, attorney, insurance agent, RM, and client to move file toward closing. Interact with Loan Closer in review of attorney prepared loan documents. Assist Relationship Manager in obtaining required information needed to satisfy items precedent to closing. Facilitate opening of required operating accounts and interest reserve accounts. Attend all commercial loan closings to ensure loans are closed properly. Assist RM's on an as needed basis in obtaining vital financial information. Ensures timeliness of information and efficiency in process and workflow. Contribute to the achievement of Commercial Team goals as it relates to revenue & portfolio growth, asset quality and compliance. Maintain strong working and communicative relationships, with both internal and external clients. Act as a liaison for client inquiries assigned to designated RM's. Keep up to date on Bank Policies, Laws and Regulations that govern commercial lending. Develop broader knowledge base of commercial and other products and services, including loan policy, documentation, structuring, and regulatory requirements. Provide administrative support to the Managing Director and Team Leaders as needed. Remain in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Perform other related duties and special projects as requested by management. Must haves: Strong customer service ability with verbal and written communication skills required. Strong multi-tasking skills. Ability to be a self-starter and work independently to achieve goals. Anticipate needs of Commercial team, acting proactively in problem resolution. Strong interpersonal relationship skills required, including ability to work across a variety of departments. Proficient problem solving and analytical ability. Represent Bank in professional and friendly manner. Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion. Must be proficient in MS Office software and able to quickly master the Bank's technology and Core system. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications. Strong "People first" interest and ability. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High School Diploma required, Associate Degree or equivalent preferred. Bonus Points For: Minimum 2 years of Banking experienced preferred. Additional information
