Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description
The Analytical Lab Technician is responsible for producing accurate and timely analysis of specified samples using defined methods and procedures to support the company's sales, material management, and production efforts.
Responsibilities
Perform sample preparation and analyses according to assigned written procedures, conducting several concurrent analyses as required.
Exceed accuracy and performance measures as provided by the company.
Closely examine sample quality and labeling, and bring any deviations to the attention of the Lab Manager, suggesting a course of action.
Assist in maintaining equipment and perform daily equipment checks as needed.
Conduct all XRF, LOD, LOI in-process testing or similar methods to support production and practice good documentation in data entry.
Perform Carbon and Chloride analysis using LECO and Titration methods.
Participate in shift changeover and communicate the status of all analyses and needed work.
Ensure all equipment is in functional operating condition, clean, and available.
Monitor equipment and supply needs, promptly informing the supervisor to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
Participate in open communication and daily housekeeping tasks, ensuring overall laboratory work areas are organized and clean.
Essential Skills
Associates Degree in a Scientific Field.
College-level lab experience or internship.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, work procedures, and governmental regulations.
Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associates degree is preferred.
Minimum of college-level Chemistry is highly preferred.
College-level lab experience or an internship in a lab environment is highly preferred.
Work Environment
This position is based in an on-site temperature-regulated lab/manufacturing environment. The role operates on a 3rd shift schedule from 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM with a rotating schedule: Monday to Thursday for two weeks and Friday to Sunday for the following two weeks.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
