Job Title: Lead Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Lead Project Manager to lead Water and Wastewater industrial projects, infrastructure, and building facilities nationwide.

This position requires collaboration with engineering and business development teams to develop project scopes and construction plans.

The role involves budgeting, scheduling, estimating costs, and overseeing subcontractors and vendors during the bid process.

Effective communication with customers and project team members is essential.

Responsibilities

Create and manage schedules to ensure all projects are delivered on time.

Oversee day-to-day operations from pre-construction through project completion and warranty periods on all assigned projects.

Establish, manage, and provide leadership to project teams and clients.

Adhere to safety programs, trainings, and policies, and promote Safety & Health performance for project team members, subcontractors, and vendors.

Assist engineering teams with scope development and cost budgeting/estimating.

Create budgets and maintain control and accurate projections of project costs.

Purchase materials and equipment as needed.

Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget and keep clients informed.

Conduct construction administration including contracts, purchase orders, change orders, submittals, RFIs, owner training, project closeout, and as-built documentation.

Identify potential issues and solve problems.

Mentor team members assigned within your organizational responsibilities.

Essential Skills

Experience in Project Management within Industrial, Civil, Mechanical, or General Construction.

Knowledge of construction processes and methods including industrial water processes, mechanical systems, building systems such as electrical, HVAC, boilers, and thermal systems.

Experience managing projects ranging from $5,000,000 to $50,000,000.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Project Manager or Project Manager role.

Proficiency in construction management, waste water, and industrial water.

Work Environment

This role allows for remote work 60% of the time, with travel required 40% of the year.

Most projects are located in the eastern and central regions, requiring travel to project sites approximately once a month.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $67.00/hr.
