Construction Foremen
to lead civil construction crews on a major project in Saint George, SC. This role involves managing grading and underground utility installation teams, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of grading and pipe crews
Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and utility layouts
Oversee trenching, pipe laying, backfilling, and compaction operations
Ensure proper installation of storm, sewer, and water systems
Monitor progress and adjust crew assignments to meet deadlines
Enforce safety protocols and trench box requirements
Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors
Track crew hours, production, and material usage
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of civil construction experience, with 2+ years in a foreman role
Proven experience in grading and underground pipe installation
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to operate or direct heavy equipment (Dozer, Track Hoe, Grader)
Familiarity with OSHA standards and trench safety
Preferred Skills
Experience with excavators and dozers
Pipe crew and site development experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Work Environment
Outdoor field operations in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
Must provide own PPE: boots, vest, hard hat, gloves
Responsible for leading crew toward project deadlines and completion
