Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for our 2nd shift weekend team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a keen attention to detail, contributing to our precision manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
Study blueprints, sketches, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as needed to machine parts.
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines.
Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.
Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
Confer with production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or GED.
3+ years of recent CNC machining experience.
Experience working with Mazak machines and Mazatrol SmoothX Controls.
Knowledge of blueprints and CNC machines.
Ability to adhere to safety procedures at all times.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with 3-5 axis machining and CNC Lathe
Millturn is a must.
Familiarity with Fanuc controls.
Experience with set-ups, runs, and true machining.
