We are currently looking for a Full Time Accountant I to join our Commerce Finance Non Gaming Accounting Unit team located at the Abbott Miller Bldg working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.

Summary: This position audits and prepares all financial information for the assigned CNDC facilities. The accountant is responsible for meeting monthly financial reporting deadlines along with quarterly and annual financial deadlines. The accountant is also responsible for reconciling all income statement and balance sheet accounts and providing all supporting documentation to account balances.

Responsibilities: * Determines draw down amounts for AP and payroll check runs * Performs monthly analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts * Reconciles bank statements for assigned programs * Posts financial transactions * Prepares journal entries for month and fiscal year end * Verifies proper classification of fixed assets and ensures that proper protocol is followed * Works with internal and external auditors during audit periods * Prepares interdepartmental, interdivisional, and employee receivable invoices * Assists leadership with financial questions and/or research * Maintains files, logs, and records * Performs all other duties as assigned

Skills: Essential: * Perform tasks on great plains application * Must be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of products

Experience: Essential: * 1 year directly related experience

Education: Essential: * Bachelors Degree in directly related field

Credentials: Essential: * Pass general background check * Standard Driver's License

Nonessential: * Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
