Business Systems Intern, US TV Production - Spring 2026

This Spring Internship is from January 12, 19 or 26, 2026 through April 24th, 2026 (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work 10-29 hours/week, in person in the specified office location. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university interested in continuing their education through professional experience.
Sony Pictures US TV Production is in the process of developing Xpanse, a comprehensive digital solution aimed at managing all data related to the development of new TV shows. Xpanse will serve as a central data repository, eliminating existing data silos and operational inefficiencies. The data derived from Xpanse will be integrated with information from SPT's data warehouse on Snowflake, unlocking strategic views for executive management.As an intern on our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and synthesize business requirements, support the development of data tables and new workflows in Airable, build and deploy executive dashboards using Tableau and provide basic support for deployed modules, all while immersing yourself in the inner workings of TV production and the transformative power of data analytics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and build Airtable interfaces and workflows to meet business requirements in collaboration with senior team members
Develop and refine prompts and business context for Airtable OMNI AI to generate insights and improve workflow efficiency
Manage data tables and data conversion processes in Airtable, including normalization and loading
Provide support for live Xpanse modules, resolving user queries and escalating issues as needed
Create self-serve Tableau dashboards using Snowflake data to support reporting and analytics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a technical or STEM field for the duration of the internship
Proficiency with Airtable or other no-code platforms, relational data modeling, SQL, and Tableau
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with business stakeholders
Ability to quickly grasp requirements and convert them into specs for development
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience working in a TV studio environment, preferably in roles involving data-driven solutions or process improvement
Strong curiosity and interest in understanding the full TV show development and production lifecycle.
