About the Opportunity Confires seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Billing Specialist to join our Billing team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in billing operations, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely invoicing to clients, including contract billing, recurring services, and project-based work.
Job Duties
Prepare and process high-volume, complex customer invoices in accordance with contract terms, including recurring services, time & materials, and fixed-fee billing.
Manage the end-to-end billing cycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
Work closely with sales, operations, and account managers to validate billing data and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain billing schedules and ensure updates are reflected accurately in the ERP or billing system.
Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payments, and other irregularities; support collections efforts as needed.
Reconcile billing-related general ledger accounts and assist with month-end closing activities.
Respond to internal and external billing inquiries promptly and professionally.
Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline billing operations and reduce errors.
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum 4–6 years of experience in billing or accounting, preferably in the security, service, or technology industry.
Strong understanding of billing processes, revenue recognition, and accounting principles.
Experience with billing software and ERP systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with contract billing or subscription-based services.
Familiarity with security industry operations (e.g., guard services, alarm systems, monitoring).
