The Role:

The

Test Engineer

plays a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Xylem's products through the design, execution, and continuous improvement of testing processes. This role collaborates closely with development, product, and engineering teams to verify product performance, resolve issues, and maintain adherence to quality standards. The Test Engineer also supports innovation by identifying opportunities to improve testing tools, methodologies, and team practices.

Core Responsibilities:

Develop and execute test plans and strategies that align with project goals and quality standards.

Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing, including teardown analysis and defect reporting.

Design, maintain, and improve automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance efficiency and consistency.

Track, document, and communicate testing progress, results, and issues to cross-functional teams.

Collaborate with product and development teams to resolve issues and drive continuous quality improvement.

Ensure calibration and adherence to established testing and compliance standards (e.g., AWWA, MID).

Identify and implement process enhancements, tools, and best practices to optimize testing operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in an engineering or testing environment.

Proficiency with lab test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) and related diagnostic tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Effective communication and documentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a team environment.
