As a Sr. Manager, FP&A - Reporting & Analytics You Will:
Lead and Develop Talent:
Manage and mentor a team of Financial Analysts, providing coaching, career development, and technical guidance. Set work direction not only for your direct reports but also for extended team members in India, ensuring alignment, consistency, and collaboration across geographies. Build and Enhance Tools:
Drive the creation and automation of reporting solutions and analytical tools, with a strong focus on advanced Excel modeling and scalable, user-friendly processes. Deliver Insights:
Translate financial and operational performance into clear insights, identifying business risks, opportunities, and the impacts of strategic initiatives. Strengthen Retail Finance Expertise:
Become an expert in Retail Accounting and Cost Accounting fundamentals, ensuring accurate interpretation of business results and strengthening financial decision-making. Enable Data-Driven Decision Making:
Leverage reporting warehouses and calculators to connect data inputs with financial outcomes, ensuring reporting is both technically sound and strategically relevant. Shape the Future of Reporting:
Anticipate evolving business needs, influence reporting methodologies, and partner across FP&A functions to modernize tools, reporting, and analytics practices. Support Talent Development Programs:
Support training and onboarding content for FP&A and serve as a key partner in evaluating and developing new talent through the Financial Analyst Development Program (FADP). About You:
Education:
MBA or equivalent advanced degree with strong academic performance. Experience:
6-9 years of finance/business experience, preferably with exposure to retail, merchandising, or cost accounting environments. Technical Skills:
Deep expertise in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, modeling, and automation). Experience in building reporting tools and streamlining analytics processes. Familiarity with financial data warehouses and reporting systems (experience with BI tools a plus).
Leadership & Influence:
Passion for developing and leading high-performing teams. Proven ability to manage projects, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a team-oriented mindset. Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across global teams, including providing direction to offshore team members and ensuring strong cross-geography partnerships.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. As a Sr. Manager, FP&A - Reporting & Analytics You Will:
Lead and Develop Talent:
Manage and mentor a team of Financial Analysts, providing coaching, career development, and technical guidance. Set work direction not only for your direct reports but also for extended team members in India, ensuring alignment, consistency, and collaboration across geographies. Build and Enhance Tools:
Drive the creation and automation of reporting solutions and analytical tools, with a strong focus on advanced Excel modeling and scalable, user-friendly processes. Deliver Insights:
Translate financial and operational performance into clear insights, identifying business risks, opportunities, and the impacts of strategic initiatives. Strengthen Retail Finance Expertise:
Become an expert in Retail Accounting and Cost Accounting fundamentals, ensuring accurate interpretation of business results and strengthening financial decision-making. Enable Data-Driven Decision Making:
Leverage reporting warehouses and calculators to connect data inputs with financial outcomes, ensuring reporting is both technically sound and strategically relevant. Shape the Future of Reporting:
Anticipate evolving business needs, influence reporting methodologies, and partner across FP&A functions to modernize tools, reporting, and analytics practices. Support Talent Development Programs:
Support training and onboarding content for FP&A and serve as a key partner in evaluating and developing new talent through the Financial Analyst Development Program (FADP). About You:
Education:
MBA or equivalent advanced degree with strong academic performance. Experience:
6-9 years of finance/business experience, preferably with exposure to retail, merchandising, or cost accounting environments. Technical Skills:
Deep expertise in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, modeling, and automation). Experience in building reporting tools and streamlining analytics processes. Familiarity with financial data warehouses and reporting systems (experience with BI tools a plus).
Leadership & Influence:
Passion for developing and leading high-performing teams. Proven ability to manage projects, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a team-oriented mindset. Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across global teams, including providing direction to offshore team members and ensuring strong cross-geography partnerships.

Entrepreneurial and proactive, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. A credible thought leader who can connect business strategy with financial rigor. Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at building clarity through reporting and insights.
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
