Boutique Immigration law firm is seeking a full-time, associate attorney. We are seeking a driven, professional, personable, and reliable individual to join our growing immigration practice.
The immigration associate attorney works under the direction of a supervising attorney and assists clients in many different forms of immigration relief and benefits. Duties include direct client contact, reviewing, correcting, and submitting petitions before USCIS, cases before EOIR (Immigration Court), Board of Immigration Appeals and 9th Circuit. Reviewing and analyzing client intake questionnaires. Problem solving on complex cases.
Ideally qualified candidates must possess the following:
Bilingual (English/Spanish);
Experience with Family Petitions, Removal Defense, Waiver Preparation, Immigrant, and Non-Immigration Consular Processing, Naturalization Applications (N-400), I-485 and ideally employment immigration;
Ability to draft cover letters for waivers and take declarations;
Be able to execute the entire application process as well as responding to Requests for Evidence and waivers;
This position requires constant communication with clients, updating the case management program, and the monitoring of caseloads and expiration dates from inception to completion;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and must be proactive and detail-oriented; and
Computer proficient.
Experience: Prefer a bilingual attorney with 2+ years of immigration experience, however, newly admitted attorneys will be considered as well as applicants who are not bilingual.
Credentials: Must be admitted to practice law in any state. JD required.
