Capgemini is seeking an experienced

Enterprise GCP Cloud Architect

to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in GCP services, have experience with cloud migrations, and be adept at building scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud architectures tailored to business needs.

This is a full‑time position located in Seattle, WA and requires the candidate to be local or willing to relocate.

Your role

Develop cloud architecture solutions leveraging GCP services such as Compute Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, and Kubernetes Engine.

Translate business and technical requirements into scalable and secure cloud designs.

Define architecture blueprints, best practices, and cloud standards for deployment.

Assess existing systems, workloads, and data to determine cloud migration strategies.

Design migration plans for applications, data, and infrastructure to GCP.

Optimize resource utilization during migration to ensure minimal downtime and cost efficiency.

Lead the setup and configuration of GCP environments, including VPCs, IAM policies, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Ansible.

Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.

Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage for performance and cost efficiency.

Implement solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, and auto‑scaling.

Leverage tools such as Stackdriver for observability, logging, and monitoring.

Design cloud architectures with a strong focus on security and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Implement identity and access management (IAM) best practices.

Ensure data protection, encryption, and secure network configurations.

Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, operations, and product teams, to align cloud architecture with business goals.

Conduct architectural reviews, present proposals, and lead discussions with stakeholders.

Mentor and guide team members on GCP best practices and emerging technologies.

Your skills and experience

Extensive hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), App Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.

Strong understanding of cloud networking (VPC, VPN, Interconnect, DNS).

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.

Experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures and containerized workloads.

Proven experience designing cloud‑native and hybrid solutions.

Expertise in cloud migration strategies for workloads and data.

Preferred Skills

GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer).

Experience with multi‑cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.

Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Jenkins or GitOps.

Knowledge of AI/ML services on GCP (Vertex AI, AutoML).

Security certifications (e.g., CCSP, CISSP) are a plus.
