We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Consolidation and Accounting

EMEA

to lead our global accounting and consolidation function. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting across all Landis+Gyr entities. You will manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and consolidation process, maintain high-quality accounting standards, and deliver transparent, reliable financial information to support decision-making at the executive level. This position plays a key role in strengthening financial governance, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement within the Finance organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and consolidation for all group entities.

Ensure accurate, complete, and compliant financial reporting in line with applicable accounting standards and internal governance.

Oversee the preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Maintain and enhance the group accounting and reporting framework, including policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Manage intercompany reconciliation and ensure consistency across entities and reporting structures.

Act as the primary contact for external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.

Provide technical accounting guidance to finance teams and management on complex transactions and reporting issues.

Drive process improvement, automation, and standardization in accounting and consolidation activities.

Support the CFO with management and shareholder reporting, including analysis of financial results and KPIs.

Lead, coach, and develop the accounting and consolidation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional excellence.

Profile:

Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, Swiss Certified Accountant) is an advantage.

10+ years of experience in accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting in an international or multi-entity environment.

Proven track record in preparing consolidated financial statements and coordinating audits.

Strong knowledge of accounting frameworks, internal controls, and financial systems.

Experience in leading small, high-performing teams.

Proficient in ERP and consolidation systems with a strong focus on process efficiency and automation.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail.

Fluent in English; German is an advantage.

Hands-on, pragmatic mindset with a strong sense of accuracy, integrity, and accountability.
