Location This position is based at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Norwood, MA, supporting the One Bistro Restaurant. The property is owned by Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC, the real estate division of FM, offering a dynamic hospitality environment with strong organizational support.

Shift Hours

Full time Salaried position with a minimum of 40 hours a week

We require open availability to align for business needs. This includes availability for day, nights and weekends.

Holidays

This is a 24/7 operation, so holiday coverage is required

Christmas Day is the only exception

Flexibility is offered to take alternate days off when holidays are worked

Responsibilities The Restaurant Manager position is responsible for leading, managing and operating the One Bistro restaurant. Their responsibilities include creating, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures pertinent to the organization (i.e. both FM and Marriott) and One Bistro brand standards. The employee is also responsible for creating, planning, implementing, and evaluating all necessary training needs of the staff. Additionally, the staff members must also handle various administrative tasks including prioritizing schedules, sourcing products, and compiling daily financial and statistical summaries. The managerial responsibilities include compliance with licensing, hygiene, health and safety legislations/guidelines, customer and staff issue resolution, conducting staff performance management and annual compensation/merit increases and lastly meeting the organizational and business unit goals. This position has the authority to hire and terminate employees as needed. The employee is also having overall responsibility for the restaurant operations of One Bistro (approximately 20 employees, $1.8 Mil sales), including directly supervising the One Bistro wait staff as well as bartenders and managing the Assistant Restaurant Manager, who manages the bussers and host staff positions.

Managing Staff including recruiting, scheduling, training, motivating coaching, and performance management

Managing day-to-day operations including planning, leveraging systems such as OpenTable and Micro Symphony, policies and procedures

Establishing and ensuring all controls are met

Marketing, menu changes and financial management

Performs “Manager on duty” shifts

Qualifications Over 2 years of leading all aspects of a restaurant required

Experience working in a hotel and free-standing experience are helpful.

Tips and SERV Safe Manager Certified a plus!

Computer proficient with tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Proven leadership skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Creating weekly schedules for team

Understanding of cost controls and cash handling

Managerial experience to resolve guest/employee issues

Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Strong customer service skills

Education High School Diploma or GED

Compensation and Benefits The hiring range for this position is $72,160 – $90,200. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
