Our client, a leading enterprise organization committed to building a data-driven culture, is seeking a proactive and collaborative Data Governance Analyst to support and advance their data governance strategy across the business.

In this role, you’ll help create an environment where data is trusted, accessible, and meaningful—empowering teams across departments to make smarter decisions. You’ll play a key role in maintaining data assets within Snowflake, improving metadata visibility with Atlan, and supporting integration of data pipelines through SSIS and Azure Data Factory.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines technical expertise with strong communication skills and a passion for shaping how organizations use data responsibly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of a scalable data governance framework that promotes data quality, security, and compliance.
• Manage and optimize Snowflake environments, including architecture, access controls, and performance.
• Use Atlan (or similar tools like Collibra or Alation) to enhance metadata management, lineage, and data discovery.
• Partner with data engineers and analysts to embed governance practices into ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
• Contribute to the definition and maintenance of business glossaries, data dictionaries, and lineage documentation.
• Monitor and report on data quality metrics, assisting in remediation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support compliance efforts related to data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Provide training and guidance to business users and data stewards on governance tools and best practices.
• Collaborate with security teams to monitor access and safeguard sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or similar roles.
• Hands‑on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, security, optimization).
• Experience with Atlan or similar governance tools (Collibra, Alation).
• Strong understanding of SSIS and/or Azure Data Factory for data pipeline management.
• Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging.
• Familiarity with data privacy and compliance regulations.
