Overview
Purpose
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing the warehouse operations of each retail store. The Warehouse Supervisor also supervises warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators and supports the Receiving Supervisor in managing the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.
Major Responsibilities
- Direct the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning for shipping and receiving of products in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
- Direct the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control.
- ManageStorage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and staging of products.
- Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance programs and coordinate necessary repairs with CEM and/or Operations Manager; ensure safe, efficient equipment for distribution functions.
- Lead warehouse safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Ensure all associates are trained and follow standard operating procedures.
- Oversee progressive disciplinary processes and promote a productive labor climate in the warehouse.
- Handle general employee inquiries and solve problems; coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient operations.
- Complete necessary activity reports for management and monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist for timely data entry.
- Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
- Execute Storage Buy Audit COP and ensure products are staged for counting, inspection, and proper storage to conserve space and maintain safety.
- Oversee inventory rotation within the warehouse.
- Performs other related duties as directed by management.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- 1-3 years of supervision experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, team-building, delegating, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work with and maintain effective relationships with other departments.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Competent in basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong computer skills and experience with Windows-based systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Availability to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.
Working Conditions
- Warehouse environment with exposure to moving vehicles; noise level typically moderate to noisy.
Physical/Sensory Requirements
Physical work – ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally and 20–30 pounds of force frequently; frequent use of hands and fingers; ability to stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, and bend as required.

Store Hours
Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Sunday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
