Pastore Excavation, INC is a respected site work and excavation contractor serving southeastern MA. With a strong focus on quality, safety, and performance, we handle a wide range of residential, commercial, and municipal projects. We’re currently looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator / Job Foreman to lead and work hands‑on with our crews in the field.

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a reliable and experienced professional who can operate heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, and loaders) and take a leadership role on site. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of sewer, water, drainage, and general utility construction, along with the ability to read and interpret site plans, perform basic layout, and manage a small crew.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators, bulldozers, and loaders for excavation, grading, trenching, and backfill
• Oversee daily field operations and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret site plans, grades, and layout drawings
• Perform or oversee layout for trench lines, structures, and utilities
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols on the job site
• Assist with material deliveries, inspections, and scheduling
• Train and direct crew members as needed

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in site work or utility construction
• Strong knowledge of sewer, water, and drainage installation
• Experience with site layout, laser levels, and grade checking
• Ability to read plans and work independently
• Leadership or foreman experience preferred
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification a plus
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
