The Wastewater Technician I is an entry level position responsible to safely perform the following fundamental tasks: waste stream sampling, waste stream QA/QC, off-loading tanker trucks via hose connection/removal and valves management along with bench testing, and waste stream treatment Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as Regulatory awareness of OSHA, DOT and RCRA Regulations. Perform basic chemical analysis as assigned. Assist and/or manage the offloading of waste streams and chemical treatment products. Connecting hoses for loading/unloading of tanker trucks. Perform cleanings of wastewater process equipment as assigned Monitor the operation of all wastewater processing equipment. Maintain the operational performance of the wastewater equipment. Identify and report operating anomalies to the Operations Supervisor or Maintenance Department. Direct and assist with the operation of the sludge transfer and dewatering systems. Submit all associated paperwork, as required, for regulatory and safety record keeping requirements. Other duties as assigned and may be include but not limited to chemical transfer and bulk transfer of material. High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred. Experience in programs like Microsoft and electronic tracking program experience.
