Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $120,000 to $135,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the organization's accounting systems and general ledger to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage monthly and annual closing activities, ensuring timely completion and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, highlighting key variances and operational insights.
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring smooth processing and strong internal controls.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, including tracking, depreciation, and inventory verification in line with audit requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience managing accounting operations, including budgeting, audits, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with ERP and asset management systems, with a focus on implementation and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, GASB, and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects involving automation and process improvement.
  • Skilled in using financial tools and dashboards to monitor performance and support decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CPFO.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and foster a culture of accountability and innovation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
