Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cybersecurity Architect in our Systems Cybersecurity Engineering department. This engineering position focuses on the Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) including aircraft, datalinks, sensor payloads, and ground control stations. The architect will provide support to GA projects, maintain regulatory compliance such as Accreditation and Authorization (A&A), Interim Authority to Test (IATT), and Authorization to Operate (ATO). The role follows the Risk Management Framework (RMF) from cradle to grave, defining security requirements to implementation and testing, and supporting authorization. An advanced understanding of developing and maintaining RMF artifacts is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assess an overarching set of environments including hardware/system configurations to develop security engineering solutions for UAS hardware and software.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and ensure cyber risks are mitigated and effectively communicated to the customer.
  • Be responsive to IT guidelines, policies, and directives.
  • Implement and maintain security features, develop test procedures, and educate non‑cybersecurity personnel about the cybersecurity engineering process and its importance.
  • Apply knowledge of encryption, firewalls, antivirus, and related technologies.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field with nine or more years of progressive cybersecurity experience, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Project leadership skills, including organizing, scheduling, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones.
  • Leadership in developing new processes or systems, resolving unusually complex technical matters, and serving on projects.
  • Customer‑focused abilities: analytical, verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence and guide all levels of employees, maintain confidentiality, represent the company as an external technical expert, and strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently or lead a team, work extended hours, and travel as required.
  • Requirement to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Salary

Salary range: $116,480 – $208,505
