Maintenance Technician

Beverage Manufacturing | 3rd shift (2-2-3) | $37- $40/hr.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Food Maintenance Technician to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our food production facility. Your expertise will help maintain equipment and systems, ensuring they run efficiently and safely. If you have a passion for food safety and maintenance, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on food processing equipment.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of machinery.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in food processing technology.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in maintenance.
  • Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a food production environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

You should be proficient in:

  • Creating Preventive Maintenance Plans
  • Food and Beverage Manufacturing
  • 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems
  • Electrical Installation
  • Boiler Certification

Machines & technologies you'll use:

  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) (Allen Bradley)
  • Conveyor Systems
