American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring BLS, ARRT (R)(CT), SCRQSA (R)(CT), and experience with Siemens equipment. Responsibilities
Work in a CT Scan department at a major teaching and Level 1 Trauma hospital Average caseload of 6 scans per hour Three 12-hour day shifts, Wednesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, with holiday rotation On-call rotation required with staff Potential floating to sister facilities within clinical scope per facility needs Patient care environment includes adult trauma and complex cases Epic charting system in use; experience preferred Radiation badge must be provided by employee Parking requires a one-time payment of $20 for nights and weekends First-time travelers accepted if previous CT experience is met Team environment with support staff in a Magnet-designated hospital Modules required prior to start, averaging 4 hours Scrub color is teal top and black bottom All RTO must be declared at time of application; approval based on unit needs Local candidates within 60 miles considered at a reduced rate and following HR approval Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler Employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June to November) Must be able to perform under high-acuity and trauma conditions Requirements
Minimum of 6 months Level 1 Trauma CT experience required; 1 year total experience preferred BLS certification required ARRT (R)(CT) and SCRQSA (R)(CT) certifications required Experience with Siemens CT equipment required Ability to float within scope as needed License required if applicable; must be in hand prior to start Must provide SSN and driver’s license for consideration Benefits
