Dental Assistant

Great Expressions Dental Centers partnered with iHire to seek an energetic and motivated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic practice. The position offers a fast‑paced environment with opportunities to positively impact patients' oral health.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dental team in providing exceptional patient care.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post‑treatment care.
• Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs for a smooth workflow.
• Perform basic dental procedures under supervision of a licensed dentist.
• Manage appointment scheduling and accurately maintain patient records.

Qualifications

• Preferred previous dental assisting experience or relevant education; we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Excellent organizational and detail‑oriented skills.
• Strong communication skills with a friendly, compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with dental software and technology is a plus.

State Requirements

• Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit).
• Georgia: CPR certification, EFDA certification, and proof of training to expose X-rays.
• Massachusetts: CPR certification, proof of training to expose X-rays, BORID certification, and annual CE as required by state regulations.
• Michigan: Must furnish evidence of X‑ray training certification upon hiring; an 8‑week period to submit if not yet certified.
• New Jersey: Proof of X‑ray training.
• New York: Not applicable.
• Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit).
• Texas: CPR certification; TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
