The pay rate or range for this position is: $20.00 to $22.00.

Job Summary: The role is to keep every building maintained clean and neat. Staff will perform essential janitorial duties and housekeeping tasks across all FlagShip buildings and worksites.

Essential Functions

• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing machines.
• Use ladders, dust, wash walls, clean ceilings, dust and polish light fixtures; wash and replace blinds.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas.
• Remove stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• Perform seasonal tasks such as raking leaves, cutting grass, removing snow.
• Maintain carpeted areas: empty waste baskets, replace liners, dust and clean furniture, vacuum carpets, spot‑clean carpets, sweep and mop tile areas.
• Maintain lunchroom/break areas: empty waste baskets, wipe tables and chairs, clean vending machines, clean sink and counters, sweep and mop tile floors.
• Maintain restrooms: empty waste baskets, clean and sanitize toilet fixtures, sweep and mop floors, spot‑clean walls, refill dispensers.
• Maintain non‑carpeted areas: empty waste baskets, sweep and spot mop tile floors, dust‑clean desks and tables.
• Perform periodic tasks: clean overhead vents, dust blinds, polish wood furniture and interior glass.
• Keep janitor’s closet neat and maintain equipment such as vacuums.

Knowledge and Skills

• Basic janitorial duties and responsibilities.
• Good listening and verbal communication skills; ability to speak/understand English.
• Neat appearance; uniform required at some worksites.
• Attendance at periodic training and safety meetings.
• Punctuality and client‑focused attitude.

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 6 months of experience in commercial facilities or building janitorial work desired.

Work Environment

• Small‑to‑large office environments with moderate noise.
• Safety glasses required for certain tasks.
• Fast‑paced and hybrid office/shop environment exposure to dust, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and noise.
• Safety training provided by Flagship.

Physical Demands

The job requires repetitive movements such as standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. Adequate vision, including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment is required.
